Creating Healthy Habits: Juicing

We had a great night again at Restoration Health this month and I apologise for being a little slow on posting the PDF tracker for those who have been using them.

This month's challenge is to drink one fresh juice five times a week.

If you have never had fresh juice before, even just squeezing an orange counts.

If you have juiced your own fruits before, why not get a little adventurous and try adding some vegetables or herbs?

If you are a hardcore juicer already, I challenge you to make these five green juices with mostly veg.

There are some great recipes available online, so make sure you follow one to get the best balance of taste and health benefits. Here are some of my favourites:

Simply Green

  • 5 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 3 Kale Leaves
  • 3 Celery Stalks
  • ½ Cucumber
  • ½ Lemon
  • 2 Fuji Apples

Pineapple Mint

  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 4 Kale Leaves
  • 1 Cup Pineapple
  • 1 Small Handful of Mint Leaves
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples (Green)

Green Detox

  • 1 Bunch Cilantro
  • 2 Cucumbers
  • 2 Green Apples
  • 1 Lime

Romaine Mint

  • 1 Head of Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 Small Handful of Mint
  • 3 Swiss Chard Leaves
  • 1 Lemon
  • 2 Apples


Sweet and Sour

  • 2 large celery 
  • 1 romaine lettuce head
  • 1 medium sized cucumber
  • 1 Fuji apple
  • Half a lemon

Green Strawberry Juice

  • 18 strawberries
  • 10 celery ribs
  • 1 Fuji apple
  • 1 medium cucumber
